        Meet your trainer Emma

Emma’s life has revolved around horses for as long as she can remember. Her mother trail rode while pregnant with her, and by the age of two, Emma was riding independently on a pony named Mousy. She began formal lessons around eight years old, growing up in a horse-centered family where both parents rode. Her father, who began taking reining lessons at 16, played a significant role in shaping her foundation—and continues to do so today.

Throughout her life, Emma has worked with trainers across many disciplines. While reining has always been the core of her foundation, her experience also includes dressage, AQHA western pleasure, English, showmanship, ranch and cattle work, colt starting, mounted shooting, and more. She is a strong believer that learning never stops and that being teachable matters more than talent.

In high school, Emma competed extensively in WSCA events while continuing consistent reining training. During this time, she also began starting her own horses and working with “fixer-uppers,” often hauling them to trainers rather than assuming she had all the answers—an approach that helped shape her training philosophy early on.

During her early 20s, Emma leaned heavily into AQHA and reining while remaining active in ranch rodeos, sorting, barrels, and continued lessons. In her mid-20s, she worked daily with a world-level trainer focusing on reiners, AQHA western pleasure horses, tune-ups, and colt starting. She purchased the fanciest horse she has owned and began showing reining seriously, earning Green as Grass Rider of the Year and narrowly missing Rookie of the Year.

As Emma moved into her late 20s, her focus shifted toward ranch work and cow events, deepening her appreciation for practical, capable horses that are broke beyond the arena. This period also brought personal challenges that ultimately became a refining season. Those years taught her compassion, perspective, and grace—qualities that strongly influence how she teaches today.

Emma loves the show pen but firmly believes that showing is not a requirement for success or credibility. Some of her favorite moments are taking a fancy, well-broke horse out on the ranch or down the trail and watching that training translate to real-world situations. She values horses that can do a little of everything and do it well.

Now in her 30s, Emma’s passion is creating safe, willing, versatile horses that truly take care of their riders across many disciplines.

She didn’t start her business because she believed she was the best trainer—she started it because she felt called to help others. That calling became clear after attending a local 4-H horse show and recognizing a gap where both kids and horses needed better guidance. God gave her a heart for teaching, and her parents gave her a strong foundation of knowledge. Her mission is to pass both on.

Emma is deeply grateful for every season that brought her to this point and believes her purpose is to help others grow—both horses and people—along their journey.
