Why choose AAE?
We believe every rider deserves their own version of a Cowgirl Cadillac — that once-in-a-lifetime kind of horse who’s safe, responsive, and ready for anything the rider wants to go do.

At All Around Equine, that’s exactly what we work to create for you. We don’t rush. We invest hours each day into every horse as if they were our own. Because the only way to build a true partner is through time, patience, feel, and timing.

With nearly three decades in the horse industry, I’ve been blessed to learn from some of the most accomplished horsemen and women in the world (and continue to educate myself)— in disciplines such as Reining, Colt Starting, Western Pleasure, English, Showmanship, WSCA gaming events, Liberty, Barrels, Ranch work, Cattle events, and even some Dressage and Jumping.

I’ve also had the opportunity to ride extremely high-level horses — Congress winners, NRHA futurity contenders, NCHA performers, and even horses with Olympic-level training. These horses taught me more than any lesson ever could. Those experiences shaped how I train, how I teach, and how I connect with every horse and rider who walks through my barn doors.

Whether starting colts, rebuilding confidence, or polishing advanced maneuvers, every horse receives a custom plan designed to bring out its full potential — the kind of partner you dream of. The kind of partner you can go out and accomplish your goals with.

Groundwork:
Every level 1 through 3 horse spends six days a week on purposeful groundwork ranging from 30 minute to and hour. The performance horses will get less if they are already consistent in those areas.
Groundwork may include:
-
Trail course exposure & water crossings
-
Softness and responsiveness to pressure
-
Showmanship-style body control (hips, shoulders, backing, side-passing, etc.)
-
Hobbling (owner-approved) – taught to give to pressures that would resemble being caught in something, helping them learn to yield, stay calm, and stay safe instead of fighting
-
Trailer loading & hauling to events
-
Rope exposure
-
Liberty work
-
Basic desensitizing with tarps, flags, umbrellas, dogs, and more
-
Exposure to loud noises and heavy machinery
-
Alone time being tied
-
Daily care including farrier handling, clipping, brushing, and washing
-
Optional: bow, lay-down, and harness-start work, tricks (move to steps)
